'The Feelings'

I second that emotion.
by Andrew MacGregor

For some, the pandemic feels like a half-remembered dream; for others, it’s still a living nightmare. According to the Laura Hyde Foundation, first responders are at greater risk of mental health issues due to the impact of COVID-19. It begs the question: "Who cares for the carers?"

The advertised charity reckon they can help, but only if frontline workers reach out and share their feelings—feelings that are often buried, locked up, and ignored as much as possible. That's where animated characters like Power Less, Rising Dread, and Red Rage come in.

Inspired by the cast of Pixar's 'Inside Out', each character represents an emotion or mood that threatens to consume hospital staff. Don't let their playful appearances fool you, as they all have the power to paralyse individuals both on and off-duty.

It's then up to a box of tissues, a sandwich, a plant pot, and other items to strike a more positive note. Though Red Rage's initial reaction is, erm, colourful to say the least, it soon becomes clear that help is to be embraced rather than shunned.
