Online scammers 'act out' one of their emails in this well-staged ad for HSBC Argentina. When an armed gang raid a bank, customers kneel on the ground in terror. Yet, rather than make a beeline for the safe, the ringleader tells everyone that they have won a cash prize. What ensues is a darkly funny spin on the traditional heist. As the gang request login details and promise confirmation emails, customers comply with exaggerated ease. One patron wants to check with her son first, but that would mean she misses out on a "limited time offer". The result is a neat conflation of on and offline crime, with just enough threat to keep viewers on their toes. What the target audience do with their fingers is more even more crucial though, as the bank wish to curb a 403% rise in cyber crime.
