Bollywood lives by its own rules, with overblown acting, questionable VFX, and improbable fight scenes all working to create the film genre's distinctive aesthetic. BunBun embrace these foibles wholeheartedly in this commercial, which introduces an Indian-spiced variety to their range of snacks. The action sees a woman menaced by a group of thugs and pushed off a warehouse ledge, only to freeze mid-air as her 'Bollywood Badass' arrives to save the day. He flies in on a lamppost torn from the ground for transportation, naturally. The fruit-fuelled fight scene which follows is an entertaining take on unlikely weapons, with one henchman producing a slice of cake and challenging the hero to use it on him. This is satisfyingly silly work, lovingly sending up the genre with self-aware humour and tongue firmly in cheek.
