American Express
'Card For Business, Points For Pleasure'
7 May 2022 30s
Business in the front, party in the back.
by Jason Stone

Dentsu are aiming to make American Express fun again, and they're off to a great start with this commercial which successfully communicates a compelling proposition, and in a light-hearted fashion - fashion being the operative word! The dentist at the centre of this film is sporting the most reviled hairstyle of all time... the mullet.

Once described as 'business in the front, party in the back', the mullet provides a perfect metaphor for American Express's reminder that you can accrue points for pleasure while using their card for business transactions... thus, our dentist friend has been able to take his family on holiday as a reward for all those pesky supplies he's bought over the years.
