Je suis Pogba
by Lateefah Jones

This 30” commercial sees Paul Pogba transformed into a child to advertise Amazon Prime’s new docuseries giving fans an insight into the footballer’s life. The viewer sees the young Pogba celebrating and scoring goals, imparting wisdom to teammates and stating emphatically all the things he was born to do.

It’s a clever idea but unfortunately the finished product doesn’t quite work. The VFX effects of the small boy as Pogba are odd to watch and most of the time, the script comes across as self-indulgent rather than aspirational, which doesn't necessarily bode well for the doc.
