A dire maths grade proves a feckless teenager’s downfall in this droll Canal+ commercial. Dismayed by her son's indifference, mum pulls the plug on the advertised channel. It may not seem like a big deal at first, but the casualties soon rack up. Live football, US television, and blockbuster films are all nixed, regardless of what device he uses. Worse still, mum's helpful reminders of what he's lost are relentless...and she's happy to work overtime. It’s hardly a matter for the European Court of Human Rights, but it does illustrate how comprehensive Canal+’s offer is with pace and humour. Revision-shy viewers may wish to consider the long-term costs and knuckle down instead.
