A little girl gets more than she bargained for on Christmas night as she stumbles across none other than Santa Claus… well, sort of. As a not-so-jolly burglar (Daniel Ings) prepares to flee with a potato sackful of presents, Polly (Poppy Polivnick) grills ‘Saint Nick' on reindeer, loneliness, and his newly slimline figure. Those anticipating a schmaltzy redemption arc will be pleasantly surprised by this fireside confessional, as co-writers Oliver Kember and Freddie Hall's script oscillates between barely contained rage and moments of genuine poignancy. As for the ending, well… there is a reason why the chimney has never been a popular escape route.
