The long-distance trucker has always been a solitary figure. The driver in this Volvo commercial, however, has a friend along for the ride, whether he likes it or not. Buddy climbs through the window like a friendly hijacker, but the driver's not sure whether to trust him or not. He of little faith, right? As it turns out, Buddy's a mechanic, caterer, and lifestyle guru rolled into one. Not only does he fix vehicle faults on the move, he has emergency coffee and pastries sewn into his overalls. He even gets his pal to bathe in a river to refresh body and mind. When they make a pit stop, the driver realises that Buddy sure gets around. Other truckers shoot the breeze with carbon copies of the man, which conveys the brand's 'all for one and one for all' approach to haulage. Buddy may not be real, but Volvo's support for truckers is.
