Lucas what I can do.
by Andrew MacGregor

What would you rather be bitten by: a radioactive spider or a radioactive Lego brick? Everyone knows what the former entails, but the latter is a medical mystery. Let's see what happens when Lucas, a boy who loves Marvel as much as Lego, gets bricked, so to speak.

It's not that different from what Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, Miles Morales, et al., go through: once bitten, he gains powers like superhuman strength, speed, and grip—ideal when he has so many Spider-Man kits to construct and not enough time in the day.

Yes, it's a toy ad with a lot of toys to sell, but there's still plenty of room for imagination. This comes through loud and clear in the transitions between live-action and animation, with bold visuals inspired by cartoons and comic panels. Supervillains may not be intimidated by Lucas, but he's a hero in Lego's eyes.
