KFC
'Tower Burger'

Eyes on the size.
by Andrew MacGregor

Most fast food chains would steer clear of a song called 'Down with the Sickness', but KFC are in a playful mood. One of Disturbed’s signature tracks is used to promote the Tower Burger, made with a chicken fillet, a hash brown, cheese, lettuce, mayonnaise, and a spicy sauce. The only problem is that the burger is, er, too tall for TV.

The brand must rotate the screen to put viewers in the picture, so to speak, and causes sesame seeds, breadcrumbs, and bits of lettuce to fall off. Give it a little longer and the sauce will go south as well. It's a neat twist on the 'size matters' formula, as well as the individual merits of vertical and horizontal advertising.
