That's another fine mess you've got us out of.
by Jason Stone

This is a great way of drawing attention to a new proposition from the advertised fast food joint which enables their customers to pick up a meal which is "workplace appropriate". Having made a virtue of messiness for a number of years now, KFC are adapting to a post-pandemic world where the 'finger licking' aspect of things is frowned upon.

In this commercial (and in a companion piece in the same vein) the setting is a workplace where you really wouldn't want to see someone put their fingers in their mouth... hence, a tidy -looking sandwich which is being held using a cardboard slip.

As we have come to expect from Mother's work for KFC, it's all very stylishly done with director Sam Hibbard nailing the esoteric vibe.
