Daddy's home.
by Andrew MacGregor

If Peter Stormare says, "I'm your daddy now," it's best just to roll with it. This is the man who fed Steve Buscemi to a wood chipper in 'Fargo', after all. Unlike Gaear Grimsrud, The Replacer—last seen in this 2019 commercial—has a lot to say.

The Replacer's job is to make sure real life does not interfere with 'Black Ops 6', the twenty-first game in the 'Call of Duty' franchise. That’s right—the first-person shooter is now old enough to buy a handgun in the United States. It could buy a long gun as an eighteen-year-old, which is a whole other level of crazy.

Stormare's not quite as unhinged as that, but makes a decent stab at it nonetheless. Not only does he replace a father and husband with gusto, he becomes the world’s most aggressive firefighter, taco seller, cab driver, and, erm, pope. Who knew Francis cared so much about his kill-death-assist ratio, eh?
