This cut-throat SZA promo is catnip for 'Kill Bill' fans. Inspired by The Bride/Beatrix Kiddo's quest for revenge, 'Kill Bill' the music video sees Solána Imani Rowe betrayed by her partner and left for dead. After her trailer is shot up Two Pines style, Rowe decides she'd "rather be in jail than alone". Armed with a katana, a motorbike, and some kick-ass leathers worthy of the Bride, Rowe slashes her way to the target, aware that she's past the point of no return ("I might kill my ex, not the best idea/His new girlfriend's next, how'd I get here?)" with zero shits given. The part live action, part animated finale is both lethal and satisfying, though messier than Pei Mei's Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique. Chuck in a cameo by Vivica A Fox (aka Vernita Green) and you have a worthy tribute to Quentin Tarantino's double bill.
