Estranged from his family and unable to connect with others, the man is a ghost on the streets of New York. Nearby is someone—or something—that appreciates his pain all too well.

A dog more likely to get a broom in the face than a pat on the head, it crosses paths with the protagonist a few times before a bond is formed. When the mutt fails to appear one day, the animation takes a dark turn.

Though Gabriel Agustin Freire and Ramon Lima's artful visuals make it more easier to digest, it's still hard to watch a character on the brink of suicide. Though he and the dog get a happy ending, the charity know that countless others need a four-legged reason to live.
