Veggie supreme.
by Andrew MacGregor

Ginsters want more people in agriculture like Merryn. She dresses up like a scarecrow to protect her crops; believes worms have a key part to play in the economy; and uses an old-fashioned harrow because "it's not about what's easy, it's about what's right." She puts her back into it, even if her back hates her for it.

That's just the day shift though—at night, Merryn speaks to her onions with baby monitors as far as the eye can see. Such behaviour would not look out of place in 'Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit', but this is, ahem, real life, where Cornish pasties need to be filled with quality produce.

She knows how good her vegetables are, making it so much tougher to say goodbye. That's why she always gets to taste the finished article, her faith in the process rewarded after one bite. Whether viewers work as hard as Merryn or not, they deserve the best the brand have to offer.
