Care for a tour?
by Andrew MacGregor

Easter eggs abound in this spot for PlayStation Plus, Sony's equivalent to Xbox Game Pass. The protagonist, Mr Malcolm, is a man who tips his waitress, greets people on the street, and buys steak from the local butcher. So far, so humble. Yet the contents of Malcolm's house are anything but ordinary.

PlayStation aficionados will spot, among other things, a Bridge Baby from Death Stranding; a Saw Cleaver from Bloodborne; and Jin Sakai's mask from Ghost of Tsushima, with each item rendered in skilful detail. The Antiques Roadshow experts would have a field day here.

There's a dignified air to the work that suggests PlayStation Plus games are more about self-expression than killing time. It also suggests the brand are weary of noisy neighbours Xbox and the success of their upstart subscription service.
