The many, not the few.
by Andrew MacGregor

Lululemon may sound like a children’s TV character, but it’s actually the name of a North American sportswear company. Keen to show rivals what they’re made of, the brand release their own slick, pulse-raising commercial that turns one workout space into a hall of mirrors.

Directed by Andrew Donoho, the ad resembles a gym newbie's worst nightmare, with dozens of smiling exercise junkies that multiply like bacteria in tanktops and tights. At least they pose no threat to the population at large (in fact, some would steal to be like them).

The visuals evoke Under Armour's 'Rule Yourself' ad from 2016, albeit with a looser, free-form vibe. Coupled with the kind of vaguely motivational slogan that any sports label would be proud of, it's a diverting outing from a brand keen to move on from past transgressions.
