Heathrow Airport
'The Gift'
14 November 2022 60s
Just the two of us.
by Andrew MacGregor

Heathrow's Christmas film lands as the airport ditch a cap on passenger numbers, with millions expected to pass through over the next few weeks. Yet agency St Luke's and director Molly Burdett choose to focus on just two passengers: a couple about to spend their first Christmas without the kids.

Though the airport offers plenty of distractions (food, drink, duty free, etc.), mum can't help but notice other families about to jet off together. This prompts the husband to suggest a bite to eat in the restaurant, where an early Christmas present is on standby.

After last year's Love Actually curio, this is a far more assured effort with likeable performances and a scenario that's bound to resonate with parents. If the airport can avoid a repeat of summer 2022, Santa can take them off the naughty list.
