Seven shades of purple.
by Andrew MacGregor

An all-female team of price comparison experts star in this uneven commercial for MoneySuperMarket. Gone are Matt Berry's VO and the Money Calm Bull, replaced by a purple-clad unit with codenames like a non-violent Suicide Squad.

Their first mission sees The Wheels and The Spark join forces, with a leap between two articulated lorries underlining the campaign's all-action potential. However, the banter between the crew (those who speak, at least) and their faceless boss is more distracting than complementary.

Perhaps it's the pressure of introducing so many new characters at once - only two have names so far - that hinders this 60" debut. Given time to breathe and establish themselves, the MoneySuperSeven may yet triumph.
