MARTIN ROMANELLA LINES UP FOR MOXIE PICTURES.
16 January 2024

Martin Romanella, one of Argentina's foremost commercial directors, has joined Moxie Pictures in the UK. After graduating from the University of Buenos Aires in 1999, Romanella studied at New York University as the film part of his brain got bigger and bigger.

Romanella has since travelled all over the world to put theory into practice. The result is a commercial reel that features medieval security questions (Kit Kat), a barrage of backsides (Beat), and checkers played with slugs (Greenweez). Whatever the Argentine does next, expect Moxie UK's managing director Dawn Laren to make a big deal of it.

"I was blown away by the sheer diversity and calibre of Martin's body of work," Laren says. "Brilliant at everything he turns his hand to and impossible to pigeon-hole. We are thrilled that he is joining us."

Before he gets stuck into his first UK project, Romanella says: "I have always been excited by production companies that expand into different narrative formats and are successful in all of them. That knowledge of telling a story in seconds or hours, and doing it well. Just as I am thrilled when the human quality of the people who create an enterprise expands. When I tell creative friends that I am now part of the Moxie family, they give that smile that says, "You are in the best hands and with great people."
