JASON HEHIR MAKES A STINK
8 October 2020

In the age of domestic quarantine and watching the entirety of Netflix's catalogue so we don't die of boredom, documentary makers are more vital to our media ecosystem than ever before.

Stink clearly have their eye on the ball when it comes to this trend, and have signed internationally-renowned filmmaker Jason Hehir to their roster for US and UK representation.

Born and raised in Boston, Hehir has been making award-winning documentaries for over a decade. With a strong focus on sports, he has an uncanny ability to see beyond the action and delve into his subjects' motivations and desires - capturing the driving force behind some of the most fascinating athletes in history.

With seven Emmy awards under his belt (so far), it's understandable that Hehir has decided to expand his outlook and seek out new challenges in the advertising industry. Stink is his first commercial representation, and they're extremely excited to add him to the team.

Blake Powell, Global Head of Film at Stink, says: "Jason is an extraordinary filmmaker with a true talent for storytelling. His innate ability to illuminate the humanity behind iconic figures is powerful and profound."

We are excited to be associated with talent on Jason's level and, working together, we are confident he will make a unique creative contribution to our industry.

 ”

With his latest project 'The Last Dance' (a series exploring Michael Jordan's NBA career) becoming the most-watched documentary in ESPN history, it's safe to say Hehir has thoroughly conquered documentaries in both long and short-form. With Stink's support, he now has the commercial realm in his sights.

"I'm a huge fan of the directors and producers at Stink and I'm honored to be counted among them now," Hehir says. "They're ideal partners for me as I make my first foray into the advertising space. I'm very excited to begin this next chapter with such a talented and fun group of teammates."
