Alliterative filmmaker Brigg Bloomquist has joined Curate Films for UK representation. A former ad man, Bloomquist got a kick out of short films and improv comedy when he left the office. It was only a matter of time before he bid his desk farewell.
Fast forward to 2023, and Bloomquist's portfolio boasts numerous TVCs with humour at their core. From concept to completion, he aims to please clients while developing his own distinctive style. The one-time animator even draws his own storyboards, which helps him nail every shot before he arrives on set.
Unsuprisingly, Curate, who've already signed Toby Morris this year, are pleased to have a man of Bloomquist's calibre on their books. "We're so excited to announce Brigg! His work is always beautifully shot with dramatic performances coupled with amusing twists."
Noted comedy Madeleine Sanderson and Dan Dickenson were drawn to Bloomquist's improvisational background, and say this off-the-cuff quality is "an important aspect and undertone of his work that we love". Expect smiles all round when the American makes his UK debut.
