MATTHIAS HOENE JOINS SNAPPER

Acclaimed director Matthias Hoene has joined Helen Hadfield's band of merry men and women at Snapper Films. Fresh from the success of 'Little Bone Lodge', a British thriller starring Joely Richardson which is currently riding very high in the Rotten Tomatoes league table, LA and London-based Hoene is available for all your commercial needs.

A graduate of The University of Arts in London as well as Central St Martins, Hoene's feature debut was the cult classic 'Cockneys vs Zombies', and his eclectic output also includes two Super Bowl ads, and - going back to the very beginning - his very first commercial which was for Club 18-30 and entitles 'Doggy Style' won a Gold Lion at Cannes.


Hoene's other TVC projects include this sensational piece for Adidas featuring cliff diver Anna Bader with whom the director collaborated on a short film. It's a film that perfectly exploits Hoene's aesthetic eye and his documentary skills.


In this fun piece for giffgaff (from the mobile network's fun phase as champions of Halloween), Hoene was given a big canvas to show off his horror movie credentials. As you'd expect from his film career, he displayed a perfect mastery of the genre's tropes.

Matthias Hoene was impressed with Helen Hadfield when the pair locked eyes in Ireland: "When I met Helen in Kinsale I knew we were speaking the same language and had the same ambition: to create work that is both edgy and human, to foster personal relationships with agencies and clients that go deeper than just the current job, and to do what we all got into the industry for.
