REVOLVER OFFER FIONA MCGEE A SHOT AT GLORY.

In-demand commercial director Fiona McGee has joined Revolver for representation in Australia. The move follows the release of 'Dancer' for TurboTax, regarded by some viewers as the 'winner' of Super Bowl LVII.

McGee's film focuses on a lone dancer standing in front of a fountain, bopping away to the music on his headphones before a static camera. Anchored by thoughtful editing and a spot-on soundtrack ('The Safety Dance' by Men Without Hats), the ad shows what happens when a straightforward concept reaches its full potential through classy direction.


The same applies to this 2015 spot for ING Direct, which offers a rare insight into a celebrity's thought process before taking on a commercial. Australian star Isla Fisher is determined to deliver a convincing performance and insists it isn't about the money—alas, she has a Ron Burgundy moment when she reads the autocue a touch too literally.

It's a crafty approach as you can't help attaching more credibility to her unspoken thoughts and it's there that she makes all the claims about the advertised bank that they've paid to have her say. Not only does McGee draw a memorable performance from Fisher, she nails the technical side with one continious shot.
