IT'S A BIT OF BLUR AS TAZ TRON DELIX JOINS KODE
4 February 2024

If Tax Tron Delix had the January blues, the director hid it very well. "It's 2024, the year is full of potential, and I'm ready to dive right in," he says, just as he completes a move to Kode for UK representation.

The man behind promos like 'Superheroes' for Stormzy and 'It's Crazy' for J Hus explains: "Over the last few months, I've had the pleasure of working closely with KODE's phenomenal team, experiencing first hand their infectious energy, dedication and shared passion to make incredible work. I'm sure it will be a fruitful year full of wild adventures."

Wherever these wild adventures take him, Delix wants to celebrate the people around him: "The UK flavour influences all of my work. I always want to represent the diversity I see and live amongst, within my work. That's the reality of London—it's a diverse place."

"It's also the home of KODE EP Jack Goodwin, who says: "Taz expresses himself in a multitude of ways, which I find inspiring. I watched his work from afar and last year I was fortunate to create things with him, and it was at that time that I really began to understand the breadth of his talents. I’m pleased that he has chosen KODE to be his home and look forward to the ways in which we can challenge each other to become the best."

In the meantime, check out the promo for 'Superheroes' that celebrates Black excellence great and small. From inspirations like Malorie Blackman and Chadwick Boseman to everyday fighters studying, caring for their families, and protesting for a better future, it's a powerful look at the strength and resilience of a marginalised community.

There's a lot of joy in the promo too, as Stormzy's 2D avatar appears as a big brother figure, sharing his light and passion with the next generation of Black creatives, educators, families, and more. Delix captures the song's energy well, presenting serious subject matter in a sunset-tinged world.
