FEMI LADI JOINS ELEANOR IN THE US

Hugely talented director Femi Ladi has joined Eleanor Films' fabulous roster in the US. The young director has already built an impressive body of work including Pa Salieu's 'My Family' which won Best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap promo at the 2021 UK MVAs, and immensely impressive promos for Stormzy and Jorja Smith.

As the director explains in this fascinating interview at Eleanor's website, he had to overcome a huge logistical difficulty when making this promo as Pa Salieu was unable to leave Coventry, and collaborator BackRoad Gee was unwilling to travel there. The best directors make a virtue out of a necessity, and Femi Ladi's ingenious solution is part of what makes this promo such a crackerjack.

Having worked agency-side on high-profile projects while at Saatchi & Saatchi, Femi Ladi is a director with an unusually developed understanding of how the ad industry works... not something that can often be said of directors who've made their reputation creating promos.
