UNIT9 say they are "thrilled" to welcome director Francesco Calabrese to their roster for UK representation.
The Italian has enjoyed a long and remarkably varied career so far, making promos, short films, and commercials across the globe. His latest destination is 155 Farringdon Road, where he's met by UNIT9 Managing Director Adam Dolman.
A satisfied Dolman says: "Francesco has such a great eye for combining gorgeous visuals with strong narrative and he's an absolutely lovely man to boot. We can't wait to get him in front of all those agencies out there that aren't yet aware of his work."
UNIT9 feels like the right home for me where narrative, commercial, and experimental coexist organically.
Those that have been tracking Calabrese's work over the years will know he's got plenty of tricks up his sleeve. For example, his 2011 short film ‘Lovely Monster' lulls viewers into a study of isolation and discrimination before landing a late narrative sucker punch.
Whether it's short films like this or commercials for brands such as Alfa Romeo and Yamaha, Calabrese likes mixing things up... and he thinks UNIT9 is the right place to further his craft.
"UNIT9 feels like the right home for me where narrative, commercial, and experimental coexist organically," says the Italian. "I've always admired their work and I'm excited to start this new journey."
