1STAVEMACHINE AND EMIL NAVA LAUNCH AMMOLITE MACHINE.
18 July 2024

Ammolite, the company founded by director Emil Nava in 2019, has become Ammolite Machine. The upgrade came about when Nava met Kerry Smart of 1stAveMachine, and the two bonded over the future of music videos.

"For the last year, Emil and I have had daily discussions about how to tackle the current music visuals landscapes and how best to support artists," Smart says. "Emil has an answer to that problem."

The executive producer and managing director of 1stAveMachine London adds: "To build a company that supports and encourages his ideas is something quite special."

So what does Nava have to say about all this? "I'm very excited because we are creating a modern day venture that really looks at this new landscape of storytelling and confronts the evolution and creates special solutions and opportunities for artists to express themselves visually, while also creating impactful conversations."

"I feel with 1stAveMachine and their new approach to storytelling and technology and collaboration this was the perfect fit.

 ”

The launch also sees Nava, director of promos like 'Kill Em with Kindness' for Selena Gomez and 'One Kiss' for Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa, join 1stAveMachine for global representation: "They have such a unique approach and output within the industry—pushing on new styles of creating, being open to all the new and different assets we need to create, and thinking differently about collaboration between directors."

"Not to age myself, but I have been doing this a long time and am blessed to have achieved a lot of amazing things and I'm always looking to grow and experience new creations. I feel with 1stAveMachine and their new approach to storytelling and technology and collaboration this was the perfect fit."
