NITRAM JOINS HAMLET. |
|
1 October 2024 |
|
Nitram, a director who eats scripts for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is now represented by HAMLET in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, China, and Asia-Pacific (or APAC, for those in a hurry). |
2024's been a good year for the Swiss-born, Belgium-based talent. In his promo for 'Kodak', Belgian-Ivorian rapper ONHA is at the mercy of one of his listeners. Every time a woman adds the song to a playlist with a particular theme, ONHA is thrust into parallel universes when all he wanted to do was his laundry. Sport, for example, turns him into a basketball. It's so silly, but one should never underestimate how much effort goes into silliness. You can tell Nitram and his crew thought long and hard about the ball, how ONHA's face should protrude from it, and when it should fly through the air. The result is an assured blend of physical comedy and VFX.
Such work leads co-founder and executive producer Jason Felstead to say: "Signing Nitram is an exciting new chapter that fits HAMLET's firm belief that young talent needs to be supported. His creative potential is undeniable, blending a distinctive style and poppy tonalities with sharp, Gen Z humour that brings a fresh energy to the screen. He has an incredible eye for talent, and I'm confident his unique vision will make waves in the industry." And what does Nitram have to say about all this? "I'm really excited to kick off this journey with the fantastic team at Hamlet! I can't wait to push boundaries, think big, and create some amazing projects with amazing people. And let's be honest—I'm also looking forward to some serious ping-pong matches because, YES, they do have a ping-pong table at their office."
