 The news that Pensacola has joined CANADA in the USA sounds like the outcome of an unlikely military adventure, but American readers can rest easy... the Canucks haven't mounted an unlikely invasion of a city in Florida. Instead, the headline conveys the equally exciting news that mercurial directing team Pensacola has joined CANADA in the US, and is now part of the ambitious production company's American offer. |

Already long-established on CANADA's Barcelona and London rosters, Pensacola are described by their production company as "clever, fast and furious", with two out of three adjectives making them sound like they must be very good at filming car chases.
In fact, they are very good at filming everything, as is demonstrated by this recent promo for a Chemical Brothers collaboration with Beck. It takes the art of skipping stones beyond its physical limits with a havoc-inducing rock making its way well beyond the confines of the lake where it begins its journey.
This zippy doc-style trailer for an online music series produced by Sprite illustrates a very different side of Pensacola's skill set, with a rapid fire trip around the world visiting music stars wanting to collaborate, CANADA's Charlotte Woodhead is understandably chuffed: "Pensacola embody a unique blend of relevance, intelligence, and light-heartedness that resonates in today's world.
