EPOCH FILMS SWOOP FOR ELLE BROOKS-TAO.

Director Elle Brooks-Tao (née Ginter) has joined Epoch Films for UK representation. Once a crew member on a whale-watching boat, Brooks-Tao swapped humpbacks for commercials, music videos, and more. Now the Boston native wants to test herself on these shores.

"I always feel that passionate collaborators who share the same taste and aren't afraid to push boundaries a little make for brave, unique work," Brookes-Tao says. "I'm definitely trying to break some barriers in this next season of work, and partnering with Epoch UK in their own pushing of boundaries and creative growth sounded, frankly, like loads of fun."


The certified Anglophile adds: "We have the same mindset in valuing relationships as well as expertise and I'm sure this will be a side-by-side effort in pursuing greatness. The UK has been the most creatively, inspiring marketto me since I began directing, and it's exciting to be able to humbly dip my toe in the water and join the ranks of so many directors I admire and respect."

On her way over, Brooks-Tao made this gentle commercial for Aer Lingus that shows what being a big sister's all about. The protagonist is a natural with her little brother, and her selfless efforts are noticed by a flight attendant who goes the extra air mile. Whatever Brooks-Tao does next, she has the full support of Epoch UK's Megan Campbell.
