Johnny Foreigner's recruitment drive continues with the arrival of British-Canadian director Harvey Eaton, whose decision to leave university after two years has paid off in spades. He wanted hands-on experience, so he went out and grabbed it.
Like many of his contemporaries, Eaton made skate videos as a teenager, so he knew his way around a camera. Keen to improve his storytelling skills, he became an editor as well. Many scripts, dailies, and cuts later, Eaton has grown into a confident, well-rounded director who knows what he wants.
"Johnny Foreigner represents some top notch talent and I felt the time was right for me to expand and see what exciting commercial scripts are out there," Eaton says, with high-profile ads for Carrefour, Heinz, Linksys, etc. to build on. Producer Olivia Hirschberg is confident about his prospects.
