GREAT GUNS ADD JESSE VILE
24 November 2021

Great Guns have added noted documentary filmmaker Jesse Vile to their roster.

Born in Philadelphia and based in London, Vile has over ten years' experience in directing and production. He has created strong content for the likes of Netflix, Amazon, and the Discovery Channel, and his naturalistic and sensitive approach to narrative allows him to handle the most controversial and potentially tricky topics with ease.

Vile's 2012 debut 'Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet' told the story of a young musician dealing with a tragically degenerative disease. The film's raw, hard-hitting tone earned the director a slew of awards, and such a dignified and even-handed portrayal of persistence despite dire circumstances rightly nabbed Great Guns' attention.

As Laura Gregory, founder of Great Guns, explains: "We are thrilled to welcome Jesse to the Great Guns team. His decade of experience in directing and producing is an important addition to our global offering. Having tackled everything from music and sports to true crime, I can't wait to see how he applies his thought process to a brand."

 ”

Vile himself is delighted to be expanding his horizons into the commercial sphere: "I'm very excited to be joining the roster of incredible talent at Great Guns and to bring my experience in telling emotional and story-driven films to their slate of commercials and branded content. Laura and Oliver (Fuselier, USA MD and EP)'s focus on storytelling is what really drew me to Great Guns, and I'm looking forward to creating meaningful and thought-provoking work with them."
