ALI ALI HEADS TO ARTS & SCIENCES
18 June 2021

Arts & Sciences have added award-winning director Ali Ali to their roster for commercial representation.

Originally from Cairo, Ali briefly studied computer engineering before realising his future lay in more creative avenues. He picked up five Cannes Lions during his ten years as a creative director with some of the industry's top agencies. He then founded Elephant, which quickly became the most awarded agency in the Middle East, and has been directing full-time since 2012.

Known for his entertaining yet culturally sensitive work, Ali manages to make viewers feel local no matter how exotic a project's concept or location. It's a global approach to storytelling which Arts & Sciences are keen to add to their offer, as MD James Bland explains:

"I've been a fan of Ali since his Panda films and got to know him personally when we met through D&AD. His creative instincts are razor sharp and he just gets it. Ali is one of the most professional directors and excellent human beings working today. We’re looking forward to making some outstanding work with him."

Ali himself says: "I judged with James a few years back at the D&AD, and we hit it off immediately. We met later in Dubai, while James was jury president at Dubai Lynx, and discussed the idea of working together. After Sonny London closed shop, joining James on his new venture Arts & Sciences was a no brainer."
