HENRY MASON HAS MOXIE.
9 July 2020

Moxie Pictures have added director Henry Mason to their roster for commercial representation.

After training to be a classical musician at Wells Cathedral School, Mason became a theatre director, studying under Jenny Topper at the Hampstead Theatre. Moving into film and TV was the next logical step.

I've always struck by the honesty and integrity Henry consistently elicits from performers and the sheer beauty in his cinematography.

 ”

Since then, Mason has become a sought-after commercial director. His work blends dynamic storytelling and a keen eye for detail, which helps brands looking to inject authenticity into their advertising.

This vintage commercial for McDonald's is a good example of the director's nuanced visual wit, as Mason combines humour with nostalgia and highlights period details to good effect.

In addition to his commercial reel, Mason's short films have appeared at festivals worldwide, including critically-acclaimed showings at Tribeca and Palm Springs International. This passion for all areas of filmmaking and commitment to drawing strong performances from his cast are what drew Moxie's attention.

Moxie are famous for collaborating with the director to put the very best on screen. I'm really excited to be a part of such a great company.

 ”

“We are over the moon that Henry has joined Moxie", says Managing Director Dawn Laren. "I have been following his work for some years, always struck by the honesty and integrity he consistently elicits from performers and the sheer beauty in his cinematography."

Mason himself is, understandably, eager to flex his creative muscles further with Moxie's backing. He says: "Moxie are famous for collaborating with the director to put the very best on screen. I'm really excited to be a part of such a great company."
