MINDSEYE WELCOME CLEMENS PURNER.
21 February 2018

Clemens Purner has joined MindsEye for commercial representation. Having attended Miami Ad School's Hamburg branch, the Austrian director brings a cosmopolitan vibe to each project.

Purner's wanderlust is evident throughout his reel. This short film - scored by Al Bowlly's 'The Very Thought of You' - depicts Purner and photographer Emma Hartvig's road trip from Germany to Italy. Think: classier version of The Grand Tour.

Further trips to Nepal and Bhutan mean Purner's passport is in good shape. Back in the commercial realm, Purner continues to woo big brands with his insightful approach.

[Purner’s] style and cinematic quirk was an instant draw to me and it is fantastic that he has already picked up a Cannes Lion for film craft.

 ”

Purner's ‘Forms of Nothing' commercial for VW turned plenty of heads. The marque welcomed his vision of an ad where, er, nothing happens. Purner's ability to make something out of nothing earned him a Cannes Lion in 2017.

This impressed MindsEye's Hughie Phillips: "I am extremely happy to have Clemens on board at MindsEye. His style and cinematic quirk was an instant draw to me and it is fantastic that he has already picked up a Cannes Lion for film craft."

As for Purner, he thinks MindsEye are the perfect destination: "Hughie and Attilio have a great understanding of my work and are both equally enthusiastic about the great potential that lies in a well-curated collaboration.

"MindsEye is at an exciting point as a company, and I couldn't be more pleased to join the team at exactly this stage."
