LUIS CERVERO AND PLEIX TURN ROGUE.

Spanish filmmaker Luis Cervero and French collective Pleix have joined Rogue Films for representation. Cervero is a sought-after director in both advertising and cultural circles, while Pleix combine technical and creative talent.

Let's see what Rogue's new additions have to offer...

1. Luis Cervero

Valencia-born Cervero arrives in London with a diverse reel. His expressive style led him to spearhead various museum and cultural events - naturally, brands soon wanted a piece of him.

For example, this 2017 Petit Bateau commercial pits the children's clothing brand against one lad's hectic schedule.

Blending playful choreography and interactive costume design, Cervero's film suggests the brand can withstand even the most hectic adventures.

There are so many brilliant ideas in [Luis’s] work - I mean, how many ideas can one fit inside a single human skull?

 ”

Now firmly established in the commercial realm, Cervero is also keen to enhance his promo reel. Partner and EP Barney Richard thinks the man he describes as a "polymath" will do just that.

Richard says: "Luis Cervero is our newest Rogue and we're very proud to have him here. There are so many brilliant ideas in his work - I mean, how many ideas can one fit inside a single human skull?"

Cervero himself says: "When I got approached by the good people at Rogue it was love at first sight. Not only is it a company I've followed and admired for years, but it's also taken a fresh new energy with uber-cool lads that instantly made me feel like it was a natural match.

"I hope this new step in my career brings me the opportunity to dive deeper into the British market and develop beautiful projects and relationships. Give us a shout."

2. Pleix

Pleix are Rogue's first ensemble signing. Comprised of digital artists and CG whizzes, their skill set allows them to tackle a variety of briefs and projects - such as Amnesty International's campaign against capital punishment.

The Paris studio's treatment conveys the charity's desire to bring about tangible change. Thus, wax aggressors melt as the charity's signature candle burns.

Pleix are consistently innovating and their reel is a beautiful mixture of multi-media, event production, and visual artistic work.

 ”

As clients pursue ever more ambitious outcomes, MD Orlando Wood thinks Pleix will give Rogue the edge: "Pleix are consistently innovating and their reel is a beautiful mixture of multi-media, event production, and visual artistic work that makes them a perfect mix for the type of work we're keen to do at Rogue.

"More broadly, I think their breadth of experience makes them a perfect fit for the new styles of production and creativity we're seeing come out of agencies and brands and we're very excited to have them on board."
