ENGLAND EXPECTS... YOU TO ATTEND PARK VILLAGE'S WORLD CUP PARTY.
3 July 2018

England's last-minute winner against Tunisia and their trouncing of Panama flattered to deceive and their 2nd XI was found badly wanting against Belgium's 2nd XI.

All of which leads to tonight's make-or-break Round of 16 clash with Colombia. Will England's dazzling passing play lead to goals? Will Colombia display the spirit that saw them top their group despite losing to Japan in their first game? Have England learned how to take penalties yet?

By 21.45, we'll know the answers to these questions, and we might be riding a wave of optimism as we realise that only Sweden or Switzerland stand between us and the semi-final where only Russia or Croatia will stand between us and the final.

We can see the path... now all we have to do is walk down it.

And you can take in the tension, agony and joy in the company of some of your advertising besties by securing an invite to the hottest World Cup party in town.

Park Village are taking over the garden at The Edinboro' Castle pub which is close to the company's Regent's Park studio. Email them at 52yearsofpain@parkvillage.co.uk if you want to attend. Places are limited so get in early.

Tom Webb and the gang are all-in this year and Tom Carty has even made a short film capturing 'the 52 years of pain'. This refers, of course, to the passage of time since England's first and last World Cup win, when they hosted in 1966. (Their crucial third goal in the final against West Germany would have been ruled out if VAR had been available but let's not quibble.)
