DARK ENERGY SIGN HUSE MONFARADI.
5 February 2018

Promo and commercial director Huse Monfaradi has joined Dark Energy for UK representation. An intern during MTV's mid-Nineties boom, Monfaradi was chucked into the deep end: "One of my first jobs was shooting B-roll on a Dr Dre interview. I had no idea what I was doing, but someone handed me a camera and said, 'This is record' and I was off!"

Others might have buckled under the pressure, but it gave Monfaradi an early boost. He's since gone on to direct numerous music videos and branded pieces, including this PlayStation 4 launch film starring Tinie Tempah.

Monfaradi continues to work with top-tier talent, coaxing naturalistic performances from the likes of Pharrell Williams and One Direction. Such assurance only grows with each project.

[Monfaradi’s] engaging documentary style and his ability to make A-list talent feel completely at ease are just a few of his gifts.

 ”

His promo game remains strong, too. For instance, Monfaradi made a studio-set promo for Michael Kiwanuka's 'Love & Hate' - an understated affair which complements the Londoner's soulful rendition.

Dark Energy's Matt Brown is glad to bring Monfaradi on board: "His engaging documentary style and his ability to make A-list talent feel completely at ease are just a few of his gifts. We look forward to collaborating on many exciting projects together."

Monfaradi adds: "It's been a long time since I've met someone with Matt's ambition, attitude and honesty and I think he's ahead of the curve in that sense. I think he's got a really interesting business model and I look forward to working together."
