TV KLAXON: ALL IN A DAY'S WORK.
21 February 2024

A Running Commentary's Effie Pappa has directed six episodes of 'All in a Day's Work' for MailChimp and It's Nice That. Series two picks up where series one left off with another twelve episodes about the vagaries of small and medium-sized businesses—a subject close to Ben Parkin and Alex Bedford's hearts.

"As business owners, it was easy to relate to the skits It's Nice That and Mailchimp came up with. The curveballs, challenges, and labours of love... it was all there in the scripts. Stop-frame animation is a human, raw animation technique which has magical results. So Effie, ourselves, the ARC team and our partners were thrilled to contribute to series two and bring a set of characters and stories to life under Effie's direction."

Pappa, who plies her trade in London and Athens, says: "We created six heart-warming episodes that aim to offer a poignant and delightful glimpse into the trials, tribulations, and triumphs that small business owners face. We endeavoured to shine a spotlight on small entrepreneurs' extraordinary efforts and highlight the unwavering spirit, creativity, passion, drive and the daily grind that it takes to keep up a small business.

"It was all brought to life thanks to a power team of people meticulously taking care of all practical aspects of the project. It starts with A Running Commentary and the amazing producers, who put all this in perspective and nurtured every step of the way with possibilities. Handling so many episodes wasn't easy but Ben, Jeremy, Barbara, and the rest of the ARC team, along with our production services team, Takes 2 Productions, here in Athens, made it doable."

Sucks to be you, pal!
