Director duo Waxxwork (Timothy Casten and Vikesh Govind) settled on their nom de guerre after a merry visit to Madame Tussauds. That's what DAVID likes to think anyway, but the real reason remains a mystery.
The most important thing is that Waxxwork have joined OB42 for commercial and music video representation. Here's what head of advertising Jez Murrell has to say about the pair: "Vikesh & Timothy have carved out an impressive body of work over the last couple of years, executing their vision with an impeccable style and confidence."

For those who missed it first time around, 'Higher' blends a muscular lead performance by dancer Tristán Carter with strobe-lit flashes of fine art, as if the National Gallery have embraced subliminal messaging. Coupled with Easyjet's spin on the Mona Lisa, the Thinker, and Girl With a Pearl Earring, 2023's been a good year for arts and crafts in advertising.
