SPINDLE ENLIST LYDIA GARNETT.

Spindle have added LGBTQ+ filmmaker Lydia Garnett to their bespoke roster. As well as a prolific director, Garnett is a photographer and performer with punk band Trouble Wanted—no prizes for guessing who directs their promos.

Sure enough, Garnett helms this queer Western for Lonely Cowgirl and leaves all inhibitions in the dust. Drag queen Lilisquee stars as the titular character who wears rhinestone chaps and a feathery hat—needless to say, the Old West has never seen anyone like her before. Yet beneath all the razzmatazz is a good old-fashioned love story.



Such work leads executive producer Lou Gagen to say: "We love Lydia both as a human and a director, and are overjoyed to broaden the representation on our roster with such a distinct voice. Lydia brings a fresh perspective to filmmaking packed with authenticity and inclusivity, and we can't wait to support their next ventures into commercials and music videos."
