In-demand director Maegan Houang is now on the books at Mad Cow Films for commercials and music videos. Born in East Lansing, Michigan and based in Los Angeles, California, Houang always knew that film was her ticket to fun and freedom.
She says: "I fell in love with the transportive quality of cinema watching Hong Kong movies with my dad. I cherished how films transported us to another time and place, exposing me to new perspectives and experiences from our small town in Michigan."
This desire to immerse viewers and broaden their horizons has led to short films like 'In Full Bloom' and 'Alyssa Learns to Drive', but there's another medium Houang wishes to explore further. "What I find inspiring about commercials is the ability to create the very same feeling or idea in a mere thirty seconds."
