LOUIS NORTON SELZER LOVES RATTLING STUFF.
19 September 2023

Writer and director Louis Norton Selzer has joined Rattling Stuff for representation. The move follows the release of his lively Sports Direct ad, which claims it is possible to have a good first day back at school. You just need to have the right clothes, the right attitude, and the ability to slide under your teacher's legs with panache.

Sports Direct's blue and red colours pop up throughout this thirty-second speedrun, as do the brand's ubiquitous giant mugs. Norton Selzer clicked with the brand straight away, and their rapport is plastered all over the final product. But how did the opportunity come about?

Executive producer Cabell Hopkins says: "Louis has been making very high-end narrative short films for a while now, and flexing his directorial muscles so to speak, waiting for the opportunity to make that first standout short form piece.

I'm delighted to be joining the Rattlers, and I’m excited to see what we do next.

 ”

"It was through a mixture of luck and hard graft that we managed to win the Sports Direct ad, and I'm pretty sure Louis won't look back now, as he has all the qualities to make it as a very accomplished commercial director." They're also excited to see how Norton Selzer follows up short films like 'The Impatient Man' and 'The Chippie'.

For now, let's hear from the man of the hour: "I've been looking for a place to call home for a while now. I knew Cabell from years gone by, and I was intrigued and excited by the offering at Rattling Stuff.

"After reuniting for the Sports Direct 'Back To School' spot with Mox London, we realised we were a great fit so decided to make it official—I'm delighted to be joining the Rattlers, and I'm excited to see what we do next." Whatever his next project turns out to be, expect Rattling Stuff to make some noise about it.
