IT'S KEITH MCCARTHY AT OBJECT & ANIMAL. |
|
9 November 2022 |
|
Object & Animal's already distinguished roster now boasts Keith McCarthy on both sides of the Atlantic. The move reunites McCarthy with O&A founding partner Dom Thomas, who once questioned his new director's tech prowess. |
"Even though Dom told me off whilst we were runners for not knowing how to burn a DVD," McCarthy says, "I've forgiven him. Partly because he's actually a very kind, gentle and wise soul. But mainly because he, and the rest of the O&A family, care... though not about burning DVDs!"
"They care about the creative process, about new ideas, about nurturing and sustaining talent and innovation. O&A curate an atmosphere that allows people and ideas to grow, to flourish. I absolutely love that." Thus, when the door opened for McCarthy, he leapt through. |
“ |
Not only is Keith a superb filmmaker, he's generous and humble too. |
” |
|
The ex-4creative man brings a stellar commercial reel with him, so it's little wonder Thomas is so pleased: "Having Keith join O&A brings me so much joy. Not only is he a superb filmmaker, he's generous and humble too."
"The two of us started out as runners at the same time, so watching him go from craft to craft and strength to strength, to finally have him here, reinforcing our unique and extraordinary roster of narrative filmmakers is something we're all hugely excited about and can’t wait to see what he does next."
