KC LOCKE IS KEY TO MERMAN.

You can tell that director KC Locke has studied the Merman style guide from cover when he says: "I am excited to be joining the team and making waves in the commercial oceans." Joint MDs Siobhan Murphy and Spencer Dodd must be so proud.

They also love the "craft and inventiness KC has achieved in his music videos," while the Mancunian's "commercial work thus far is incredible." Murphy and Dodd add: "If you're looking for a highly experimental filmmaker who will push the boundaries of a creative vision while tapping into the cultural zeitgeist, then look no further."


If you do need a little more background information first, Locke began his career at EY3 Media in Manchester, where he liaised with brands, PR companies, and marketing agencies as Head of Visuals. He was just as busy after hours, shooting promos for local bands and artists like a well-oiled machine.

These days, Locke works with Glastonbury headliners, viral sensations, and all-round industry heavyweights. Take this promo for Stormzy and Ed Sheeran's 'Take Me Back to London', which sees the pair enjoy a grand day out together. Sheeran comes off second best in the tracksuit stakes, but the odd couple energy is hard to resist.
