RATTLING STICK WELCOME JAMIE JAY JOHNSON.
15 November 2018

Ever seen a bloke in a papier-mâché pigeon suit dancing in Trafalgar Square? Or had a portrait of your car offered to you on Great West Road? Chances are you have met Rattling Stick's latest addition to their directorial roster - Jamie Jay Johnson.

Described by Rattling Stick as "one of those rare people who can let their inner child out with fervent wonder", Johnson has established himself as a television comedy director and documentarian. When it came to finding representation, the Fresh Meat and An Idiot Abroad alumnus had only one name in mind.

The creative-turned-filmmaker says: "When I asked a few trusted industry friends' advice, they all raved about Rattling Stick and looking on their site I realised I'd even a massive fan of Daniel Kleinman, Ringan Ledwidge, Andy McLeod, and the whole roster's work for years."

[Jamie] has an inherent ability to find… implausible characters and tell their stories in the most respectfully endearing way.

 ”

Johnson was also drawn to the company's work ethic and varied output: "I love that they make just the mix of comedy and more heartfelt stuff I'm into and I immediately got on really well with the team who are a lovely, dedicated bunch of very forward-looking maniacs who I'm very much looking forward to working with more."

Rattling Stick add that - aside from being "full of ideas and absolutely bonkers" - Johnson has the "has an inherent ability to find interesting and often niche topics, with implausible characters, and tell their stories in the most respectfully endearing way". Only time will tell what Johnson comes up with next.

To discuss what Jamie Jay Johnson can bring to your next project, ring Rattling Stick's Tash Bloom on 020 7851 2000 or email her via tash@rattlingstick.com.
