The timings of our podcasts have been a bit erratic since we launched them at the end of last year but we're relaunching them with this very special edition featuring adam&eveDDB co-founder Ben Priest, and we're aiming to release them once a week from now on.
This podcast was recorded early in the year but - for a variety of reasons - we're only just publishing it now and we'd like to thank Ben for his understanding about this.
Part of the reason for the delay is that this was something of an experiment. We recorded it on the streets of London, wandering around the buildings where Ben has worked over the last twenty-five years. The wind, the rain and the traffic noise were a real challenge, and we eventually took shelter in Harvey Nichols where the hubbub from the other diners in their café offered an additional technical problem.
Nonetheless, it was a fascinating journey with Ben offering an amazing insight into his career, his philosophy and the trials an d tribulations of founding and running the advertising agency which has set a benchmark for the entire advertising industry.
Ben is a dream interviewee because he's clear, funny, candid and honest. He's not afraid to issue criticism but extremely generous to those who have inspired him and mentored him. It's a revealing portrait, so pop on your headphones and listen to what one of our industry's real stars has to say for himself.
