EWAN JONES MORRIS JOINS FRIENDS ELECTRIC
12 December 2018

Friends Electric have signed award-winning director Ewan Jones Morris to their roster for representation.

With a highly imaginative style which combines live action and traditional animation - plus a healthy sprinkling of stop motion - the films Jones Morris' co-directed with Casey Raymond encompass inventive visuals which manage to imbue their subjects with a sense of fun.

Ewan has a unique creative mind, curious and unbound by convention.

 ”

This multidisciplinary approach makes his work stand out from the crowd, and it was his art installations which first caught the eye of Friends Electric.

Executive Producer Mike Bell explains: "Ewan has a unique creative mind, curious and unbound by convention. He uses every production technique and medium available to him to achieve results that are often funny, always unexpected. We first discovered Ewan through his art installations - now achieving much deserved notoriety in the art world - as well as his prolific directing of short films and promo work."

Alongside frequent collaborator Casey Raymond, Jones Morris has become known for his quirky music promos - which have earned a huge amount of industry accolades, including a UK Music Video Award. He was also the recipient of a Welsh BAFTA for his short film 'This Far Up' - an atmospheric project which he wrote and directed.

Not content with merely taking the film world by storm, Jones Morris continues his artistic pursuits across many other mediums, and is currently a resident artist at Somerset House Studios.

Morris Jones on the move: "I'm really excited to be joining the Friends Electric roster. Their varied output of projects across media, art, and advertising combined with their expertise in animation and post is going to be a great home for me. I'm very much interested in taking my eclectic brand of creativity to bigger and better places, and Mike Bell and the team are in a great position to help me do that."
