Greatcoat Films say their new signing, Shan Phearon, brings "an encyclopedic knowledge of film" to 29 Wadeson Street.
The move follows the release of Phearonís post-lockdown promo for rapper One Acen, which was an odd experience for managing director Simon Oxley: "It was a strange start to our new creative partnership, as we didnít meet Shan in person until One Acen's 'Nigeria' video."
But good things come to those who wait, with Oxley calling Phearon an "extremely driven director with an infectious enthusiasm for his work". Lively Zoom calls with Phearon made the company's decision even easier.
Another fan is Greatcoat's head of music, Kareem Adeshina, who says: "Shan is one of those creatives you meet and are immediately transformed by their creative perspective - a man wholeheartedly devoted to the craft. The wealth of his experience and insight allows for a blind trust in his creative steer on any project".
As well as the support of Oxley, Adeshina, and co., Londoner Phearon appreciates Greatcoat's modern ethos: "This is a team with strong values and a roster that's representative. I see them as one of the most progressive creative agencies in the UK and look forward to doing new things with them".
